In this release from Mo-Star, one can call upon all the rage, and fury that a purple haired princess can muster. This game features old school side scrolling beat-em-up action. There really isn’t too much to this game. You control the main character, who is not named, and form strategies to deploy troops in order to complete your goals. At a modest price of $1.99 US dollars, this game is…
ThumbPlay music is a streaming app for the iPhone, one of the first to be available in the US. This app is free to download and can be tethered to your ThumbPlay account online. This will provide you with unlimited streaming for $9.99 a month. A fair price I’m sure, but seeing as how Pandora is free, or $36 dollars a year, I’m not sure it’s a bargain. It does…
Square Enix has a reputation for excelence in the RPG genre of gaming, and in one of their more recent efforts, Chaos Rings for the iPhone platform, they hit that mark yet again. With quite a long history of making some of the best RPG’s out there, on just about every system, it’s no surprise that their latest iPhone endeavor would capture a die-hard RPG fan’s attention. Once upon a time, in a land only fourty-five miles away from here, there once lived a young boy. He watched digi-mon, and saw other children of the same age playing with tamagotchi’s. Jealousy grew within the boy, then during that summer he grew up and was no longer interested in having his own little “pocket monster”. Fast forward to today – that boy is now a young man and…

In the new effort from Fabrication Games comes an App that’s not a game at all, but instead a rather useful tool for gamers to find, discover, and be informed about the games available in the AppStore. The App, ‘The Game Trail’, is a straight forward concept; use any one of the five options to discover new games, or using the search and genre functions – find exactly the game…
The origins of the Fu-Manchu were shrouded in mystery, and were covered in what I assumed to be spicy mustard, until Wikipedia showed me the way. While, the main character of Pandamania, made by FizzPow Games Inc., is not a villain capable of great evils, nor a Doctor by any definition, Fu-Manchu is an anti-hero of sorts. He travels the world, a bad ass with a bow, sporting his trademarked…
“I figure the odds be fifty-fifty” – Frank Zappa (From the song “Fifty-fifty”) While the song is by far much cooler and also far more ‘indie’ than this app, the quote seems to sum up my thoughts on this release from FlickTweets. The app is simple in its execution, and it does what it promises, but I do have my doubts about it. I also have some grievances as well.…
After playing the recent March release from Tozai Inc. titled “Sync-Ball”, I was harkened back to the days of yesteryear when I was standing, mostly out of frustration, in my friends living room trying madly to play “Marble Madness”. I spent a good portion of my child hood in that living room trying to beat down puzzle games on that old 8-bit system that we all knew and loved. This…
