LISSIE: EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE OF DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ALBUM TRACK “BULLY” ON ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY’S MUSIC MIX

Lissie’s song “Bully” is now a single. The track, from her debut full-length album, Catching A Tiger, which will be released in the U.S. on August 17th via Fat Possum.

Catching A Tiger, produced by Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Norah Jones, Modest Mouse) and Bill Reynolds (of Band of Horses), expands upon the resonant alt-country and haunting, soulful ballads of last fall’s arresting Why You Runnin’ EP (Fat Possum). Exhibiting Lissie’s remarkable range and versatility, the album is a seamless union of classic, early ’60s-flavored pop (“Bully,” “Stranger,” “Everywhere I Go”), stirring, spirited folk (“Little Lovin’, “Look Away”), and brilliant, unbridled pop/rock (“In Sleep,” “When I’m Alone”). Catching A Tiger revolves around her stunning voice – powerful and achingly raw – and has already caught fire in UK press following its late June release overseas: Clash recently declared “Her country-infused Americana pop-rock is as close to shimmering perfection as it comes”.

Lissie, currently in the midst of a lap through the European summer festival circuit, will return to the States next month to perform at the Washington, DC, date of the Lilith Fair on August 3rd. She is also confirmed for the Austin City Limits Festival in Texas on October 9th. More U.S. touring news for Lissie will be announced soon.
