New CDs by W.A.I.L. and INSIDIOUS OMEN to be released worldwide on March 7th by Ahdistuksen Aihio Productions

Conceptualized around the letters of the acronymic band moniker, W.A.I.L. (Wisdom through Agony into Illumination and Lunacy), the debut album of this Finnish band delves through a five-part journey of murky and crushing soundscapes. On this first part of self-titled full-lengths, W.A.I.L. explains its meaning from a wholly personal perspective. The exceptional name accompanies exceptional music and therefore W.A.I.L. gives a mouth to something that absorbs conventions of black, death, doom & heavy metal – but the entity speaks with only one unique voice and that voice does speak indeed, because the wine of Satan has got them drunk.

Having more than a strong faith in their own material and, above all, not wanting any outsider to intervene with the release at the time, the debut was originally self-released on vinyl in fall 2009. Now that the LP version is down to its last copies, AAP releases a cd version with an improved mastering & layout to spread the material further.

Biography:
In the winter of 2006, an idea embarked from the ashes of the group’s few previous doings and after succesful mind- and sound-storming the first musical title, Promo 2007, was forged. It wasn’t spread much, but
with that title a birth was given to an idea, which thus found a meaning for itself – the idea began to transform into a clear vision. For a few years, the vision matured along as it was being practised and, in the winter of 2009, a preview of the material was released as Demo 2009. Soon after, when the time was ripe, it was captured on a self-titled full-length album – finally released on vinyl in fall 2009. The band wanted the LP to meet with with the members’ thoughts perfectly, so self-publishing was really the only option. Shortly after this, however, the material found itself a fitting label, Ahdistuksen Aihio, to be released on CD version to spread the material further.

Now, in Finland the vision is ever-growing as the next chapter of W.A.I.L., an upcoming full-length, is being materialized. Await this concept to grow more tentacles to swallow you with.
