Sin Fang Embarks on European Fall Tour with Sóley Including Performances at Iceland Airwaves

Iceland’s Sindri Már Sigfússon or Sin Fang has offered a special version of the track “Slowlights” available for free mp3 download at the MTV Hive premiere or The original track is taken from his Morr Music released sophomore album, Summer Echoes, noted by Pitchfork as “exceptionally thought-through music.” Sin Fang will also embark on a European tour with solo artist Sóley (also member of Sin Fang and Seabear) with scheduled festival performances along the way including an appearance at Iceland Airwaves.

Sin Fang set himself the task of playing all of the instruments on his 2009 debut, Clangour, but for this album wanted to move closer to the sound of a live band. He recruited a number of his friends from Múm, Amiina and Seabear to record Summer Echoes in his own studio, as well as Sigur Ros’ Sundlaugin Studio. Sin Fang Is now finishing his third full-length album and it will be his first time working with a producer (Alex Somers of Jónsi and Alex). The album is scheduled an early 2012 release on Morr Music. Keep track of Sin Fang’s European travels this fall on Tumblr and check out what types of food he eats to help with his creative process.
