Firewind inks North American distribution deal with DisManic Distribution/E1 Music

Greek melodic metal outfit, Firewind, is excited to announce a new distribution deal for North America with DisManic Distribution via E1 Music. Together Firewind and DisManic/E1 Music will unleash the band’s highly anticipated new record, Few Against Many, on May 22nd.
Commented Firewind driving force, renowned guitarist, Gus G. (Ozzy Osbourne), “I’m very excited about this new partnership! While we’ve been around for sometime, North American territory is relatively new ground for us. And since the music industry is changing drastically these days, we felt we should be more in control on our new release. We are fortunate to have a great team behind us for our North American release, including Thomas Ziegler of DisManic/E1 Music, and together with our management, I’m confident that we will reach the next level.”
Few Against Many will see its European release through Century Media Records.
Produced by Gus G., Few Against Many was recorded with long time band mates – vocalist, Apollo Papathansio, Bob Katsionis (keyboards/guitar) and bassist, Petros Christo – at Valve Studio in Greece and The Sweetspot Studios in Sweden. It sees the band expand on its signature melodic sound with some of the most aggressive Firewind songs to date.
Few Against Many also marks the recording debut of new Firewind drummer, Johan Nunez (Nightrage). The young Belgian is regarded by Gus as a “phenomenal talent,” and anyone that witnessed him on the band’s ‘Defiance…’ world tour will no doubt agree.
Firewind’s reputation as one of Europe’s premier metal bands was further cemented after the release of the critically lauded, Days Of Defiance. The band toured the world in support of the record, including festival appearances at Sonisphere UK, Graspop and Hellfest, support slots in Greece with Judas Priest and Scorpions and successful headline tours in Europe, Japan and North America.
Firewind has already announced a few summer festival appearances (including ‘Summer Breeze’ in Germany and Czech Republic’s ‘Masters Of Rock’), and will reveal many more dates along with a world tour in the coming months.
