Issa Rae Productions in collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ i am OTHER YouTube Channel have partnered for the Season 2 return of popular comedic web series The Mis-Adventures of Awkward Black Girl. Episode 2 premieres on Thursday, July 12th at 6PM PST.
Since going viral in 2011, Issa Rae and Awkward Black Girl (ABG) have garnered over 500,000 viewers per episode (first episode hitting well over 1 million views), won the coveted Shorty Award for “Best Web Show,” and most recently, inked a production deal to air ABG on YouTube via a new YouTube partner channel brought to you by Pharrell Williams’ creative firm, i am OTHER.
Issa Rae and i am OTHER announced their collaboration with an official Awkward Black Girl Season 2 Trailer via i am Other, featuring Pharrell, which accumulated over 200,000 views in just two weeks.
