UK-based trio London Grammar – Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman – released their highly anticipated album last week and has entered #2 in the UK album charts. If You Wait is available digitally via Columbia Records at http://po.st/IfYouWait . The album features 11 tracks (see tracklisting below) including latest single “Strong,” which Pitchfork praised noting “Reid’s voice washes over you, clean and perfectly,” and the ethereal, haunting “Hey Now” which received much critical praise upon its release late last year.

London Grammar will celebrate the release of If You Wait with a tour across the US and Canada, kicking off with a sold-out show at Los Angeles’ famed Troubadour on September 25. The tour will see London Grammar crossing North America with stops in cities including San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto and New York before ending in Boston on October 10 (see full itinerary below). The band announced a new UK tour today for January / February 2014 (tour dates below) after their October/November UK tour has completely sold out.

If You Wait has received rave reviews, with London’s Evening Standard awarding the album 4 stars and describing it as “a collection of unhurried, immaculately constructed songs that showcase the wonder of Reid’s voice and the inventiveness of the duo behind her.” The Daily Telegraph praised the album’s “beautiful yearning melodies” and Pretty Much Amazing summed it up nicely, naming If You Wait “an enthralling, stunning, deeply emotive album that perfectly marries understated electronica to sublime vocals and melodies.” They continued the praise, noting “In a year dominated by titanic LPs, London Grammar have not only made the most perfectly formed debut album of the year – they’ve made one of the best LPs, period.”

Since introducing itself with near anonymous posts of two songs (“Hey Now” and “Metal & Dust”) late last year, London Grammar quickly captured the interest and, more importantly, the imagination of music fans across the UK and beyond. The tracks catapulted the band straight into the spotlight, with music critics and fans eager to see what they did next. The trio released the acclaimed Metal & Dust EP in June, sold out two London dates, played with The xx at their Night + Day festival and secured slots at nearly all of the UK’s major summer festivals – including Glastonbury, Bestival and Festival Number 6. The band will return to the UK for its own sold-out headline tour this October.

London Grammar is Hannah Reid, Dot Major and Dan Rothman.
