PREMIERE OF THE ADVERSARY’S NEW VIDEO Cover of Flaming Lips’ “Yoshimi”

After a breakthrough year with media support from Huffington Post, Alternative Press, ReGen Magazine, FourCulture, among others, NYC-based organic electro band THE ADVERSARY are gearing up for another exciting year with the release of their new single “YOSHIMI”, a cover of the Flaming Lips classic. The song premiered on popular music site, Cover Me Songs earlier this month which can be found here, and the accompanying video first premiered on Magnetic Magazine soon after here. Today makes its widespread premiere on VEVO and can be seen here: http://vevo.ly/xDyvex Slated to appear on the second chapter of his ongoing music saga that began with CHAPTER ONE: THE RUINS (Uncanny Valley Records) which was released earlier in 2013, “Yoshimi” is, as Cover Me Songs describes, an “electronic lullaby” featuring guest vocals from Jenny Electrik of Dynasty Electric. CHAPTER TWO was produced by seminal producer Bill Laswell (Blur, Mick Jagger, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Yoko Ono) and mixed by Q (Swedish House Mafia, Tommy Trash, Steve Angello) and will feature the further adventures of a couple in love trying to survive and find their salvation in a post-apocalyptic world of ruins. Chapter One: The Ruins was voted “EP of the Week” by influential NYC dance blog Terry Gotham here. Frontman of The Adversary Andre Mistier’s journey through music has been an unconventional one. The New York-based musician, who has a foundation in theater, has explored the connection between electronic sounds and instrument-based rock since the inception of his first band [ism] in 2004. In 2008, as his tenure with [ism] was drawing to a close, Mistier began working on film soundtracks and theater scores, his first musical efforts done solo. The work was deeply compelling to the artist and he found himself moving into the sonic territory that became his new project, The Adversary. With 2013 drawing to a close and his momentum growing exponentially, The Adversary is poised for a promising 2014. With the attention already building on “Yoshimi”, not only does it seem promising but swift as well. theadversarymusic.com www.facebook.com/TheAdversaryMusic soundcloud.com/theadversary
