Oneida is coming to your town – maybe for the first time in years. What’s more they’ll have limited-edition cassettes in tow. Dubbed “The Brah Tapes” this collection of original live and studio material from the last five years will only be available on this tour. The Brah Tapes bridge the gap between their life at the Ocropolis, Oneida’s longtime studio, and their subsequent move with Secret Project Robot, a not-for-profit artist run art space, to a new space in Bushwick.

Here’s what Bobby Matador had to say of “RPT” which premiered on Brooklyn Vegan this morning,

“A total burner. Recorded live at the Ocropolis with an audience, at one of our public in-studio events that inspired the remote Ocropolis performance installations of 2009-2011. Showtime plays the bass. Titled “RPT” at its birth, this tune is usually known within the O as “Kaddenium” or “Kaddenmium,” after the uncatalogued element discovered by renegade scientist David Kadden. The scientific establishment, unable to reach consensus on its precise atomic weight, has at least agreed that this shit is extremely heavy.”

Catch Oneida on the road starting Thurs. July 17 at Glasslands. All dates listed below.
