Rick Elliot Why Single Review

Rick Elliot’s Why is a track that covers considerable ground, with hints of Travis Tritt, Jimmy Buffett, and even Willie Nelson present in Elliot’s rich vocals. The production of Why allows each element – Rick’s vocal tenor, guitars, drums, and bass – to shine separately and as a cohesive effort.

The usage of instrumental interludes makes for a complex track; there are lows and highs, harmonious interludes and narrative density, and the resulting track is something that deserves heavy rotation on country radio. The addition of female vocals provides the highlighting necessary to push this track into a higher plateau.
