Paul Carrack ‘Time To Move On’ New Single Released 23 October 2011
One of the hardest working figures in modern music, Paul Carrack releases his new single ‘Time To Move On’ on October 23rd. After a major departure producing the critically acclaimed Different Hat with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Paul has gone back to his roots with a Northern Soul stomp, Time To Move On, and is joined on this recording by youngest son Jack, who makes his debut on drums. The track is the first release from Paul’s 16th studio album which will be released early 2012. Paul will also be back out on the road on a 50+ date autumn and winter tour, starting on 29 October 2011 with his first ever appearance @ London’s Indigo2 venue.
The former vocalist of Mike and The Mechanics and the voice behind world-wide hits such as ‘How Long’ by Ace, Squeeze’s ‘Tempted’ and, of course, the timeless classic ‘The Living Years’ Carrack is now firmly established as a solo performer. Initially finding fame with Ace and Roxy Music, he has gone on to enjoy a successful career that spans 40 years, including guest appearances on over 60 albums, as well as writing for The Eagles, Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Michael McDonald and Jools Holland among others. Paul Carrack has always had the ability to combine the contemporary with the timeless classic effortlessly – this single shows he is still able to create great back to the bone soul music.
