Best Zine Ever #2 / Free / :45 / PO Box 12409, Portland, OR 97212 /
This is not an egotistical zinester trying to show the world that eir magazine is the hottest shit to ever be excreted from the arse of society but rather a collection of all the favorite zines that the review crew had of 20034. You may have seen some of these zine reviews in other zine review zines (is that a tongue twister or what), but they are provided here in this thick magazine, put forth by reviewer. The reviews are pretty in=-depth, with most (if not all) of the magazines reviewed in this issue getting over a 100 words in a review. Even nicer is the fact that there are segments or pages pulled from especially impressive magazines, which are then given a focal spot on a page. If you are looking for anything that is not a zine review, you are not going to find it in this zine. The only thing that I would say about this issue is that I would like to see addendum placed online, as there probably have been a number of moves that the editors of “Best Zine Ever†know about that they could provider (again) free of charge for anyone who would wish to pick up a copy of the zine that is given such glowing praise inside. I know that there is at least one newer issue of this magazine, but here’s to hoping that this becomes a more review-heavy version of “The Zine Yearbookâ€. Thanks so much for providing a free resource to zinesterdom.
