Since releasing her first record in 2002 (Waking Hour, Virt Records), Vienna has toured much of the world as both a solo headliner and sharing the stage with the likes of Joan Baez, Duncan Sheik and Shawn Colvin. Beyond concert halls, Vienna has peformed on David Letterman, NPR, the CBS Early Show and many others.

In 2006, Vienna signed with Zoe/Rounder Records and released Dreaming Through The Noise. Produced by Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell), the record received much acclaim. The songs on Dreaming highlight Vienna’s stellar piano playing and strong songwriting skills. “City Hall”, performed below for the Sun Studio Sessions, is emblematic of both. Vienna is joined by Alex Wong on percussion, a longtime touring companion who also came to Sun with Amber Rubarth, and Jenni Alpert on backing vocals.
