I do not take many in the way of supplements. Whether it is because I am lazy or do not like drinking colloidal solutions full of whey or other proteins, I really have no clue. However, Infinite Labs has created a pill in their Phenyl Core that I actually want to take. While marketed as a fat-burner / energy enhancing type of supplement, I feel that bodybuilders will gain some serious results as they take it. For those trainers that are looking to lose weight, the blend of caffeine, with a number of natural ingredients in their Infinite Burn Complex (Hordenine, Konjac root, and more) and a blend of different tea extracts will work just perfectly.

However, I see some substantive benefit with the Phenyl Core on the days that I weight train. As a matter of disclaimer, I have only been working out in any serious fashion for about five months. On a typical weight-training day, I take a caffeine pill (Stacker 2) and prime myself with a protein bar. For the few workouts that I prepared with the protein bar and a packet of Phenyl Core, I felt an increased amount of energy during my 10-minute warm-up run and throughout my actual weight-training circuit. Most surprising, I was able to power through and otherwise finish sets that I would normally fail out on. While the Phenyl Core does not position itself as any sort of muscle-builder, I feel that the extra energy granted me it was enough to make its $50 price tag well worthwhile. After my brief time with the supplement, I know now that there are products on the market –such as Phenyl Core – that are much better than simple caffeine pills or other similar “pick-me-ups”. Pick up a bottle at your local GNC or well-stocked fitness store.
