Kill Rock Stars announces the first comedy signing for the label, comedian extraordinaire KURT BRAUNOHLER. Adhering to the belief that “comedy is the new punk rock,” Kurt will be bringing his fantastic stand up to rock clubs in Seattle and Portland for four shows over two nights, FEBRUARY 13 & 14. Each night will feature two FREE SHOWS which will be recorded for Kurt’s debut comedy album which will be released on Kill Rock Stars this summer. A whip-smart comedian who is one of Variety’s 2012 Comics To Watch, Kurt Braunohler was named “One of the 50 Funniest” in all of Gotham by Time Out New York, was awarded “Best Male Stand Up” (ECNY), and crowned “Best Unscripted Host” (New York Television Festival). Kurt has also been featured act at Outside Lands, All Tomorrow’s Parties and Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, as well as tour opener for IFC’s Comedy Bang! Bang! Live.
