The Mid West Reggae Fest is coming up this weekend (August 1st – 3rd); tickets are $115 for the whole weekend, Saturday admission is $85, while Sunday admission is $65; children that are under the age of 12 are provided free access to the concert. The festival is a Clay’s Park Resort in North Lawrence, Ohio. The Resort contains a number of additional amenities for those attending the festival. There is a beautiful lake, a Jacuzzi, a skate park, zip lines, and a number of additional activities that Clay’s Park presents.
The show goes on for the weekend beginning Friday, August 1st and extends out to Sunday, August 3rd. The lineup that is present at this, the 23rd iteration of the festival includes luminaries like Meditations and the Wailing Souls. Other acts round out the festival, including the Ark Band, Human Nature, and Umojah Nation on Friday, Natural Vibrations, Pure Roots, and SowFlo on Saturday, and Flex Crew, Clifftones, and Taj Weekes & Adowa on Sunday. There will be a number of vendors scattered through the park for the weekend, while there are showers, restrooms, and constant cell service for those individuals that like to keep their creature comforts while attending a concert. The festival looks to create a positive and life-affirming vibe in contrast to corporate concerts that run all weekend on blacktop or concrete. Make a point to go down around Canton, Ohio at Clay’s Park for a weekend that will absolutely be one to remember.
