What is your favorite element of music creation?

Working out the parts and the creativity with the band, giving the songs energy.

What part of the production process do you enjoy the most?

Working in the studio, laying down parts, and feelinf git grow.

We love the plotlines in the “Motor Scooter” music video! What inspired this concept or sparked this idea for the music video?

Inspiration for the concept of the “Motor Scooter” video was to come up with a video that would give the viewer a familiarity of being a motorcycle owner/rider and the scenery that comes with the ride. If you’re not a rider, the concept was to have the viewer want to be on a motorcycle and living the enviable life of a biker.

What influence has the country music genre had on your journey as an artist?

Outlaw country music has been an influence with its gritty rock feel.

The guitar riffs on the “Motor Scooter” track are insane! What do you think the element of the guitar brings to your work as a group?

Waydown Wailers has been a guitar band from the start. We had keys layered in the background to fill in some empty areas. The newest member Joe Thomas is our guitar/keyboard member. The element of guitar in this band comes down to sound. Guitars and amps tweaked properly will give you some of the best sounds on the planet!!

What is your most memorable motorcycling experience and how has it impacted you today?

I’ve had many memorable rides on my motorcycle, like almost every one! But the one truest and most satisfying ride for me, is in the Adirondack Mountains. We live in the eastern part of New York State and the scenery is beautiful. The video was shot in the foothills of the Adirondacks for that reason!!

Our success story is supporting/ opening many National Acts of all genre of music in front of mass numbers of fans!!!

To add to a filled headlining schedule of festivals, Fair and venues;  Waydown Wailers has been the supporting act for ZZ Top, Lady Antebellum, The Charlie Daniels Band, Devon Allman, Erica Nicole, John Anderson, The Outlaws, Professor Louie and the Crowmatix, Jerrod Niemann, Max Creek, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Les Dudek, Young Dubliners, Spin Doctors, Brett Michaels, Blue Coupe, The Trews, Glorious Sons, Donna The Buffalo, Craig Morgan, The Mallet Brothers with Jon Fishman, Tas Cru, Rusted Root, Up Rooted and Collective Soul, Jefferson, St Lawrence and Franklin County Fairs, Norwood Village Green, Blues in the Bay, Strand Theater Plattsburgh NY, On Center Theater Syracuse, Westcott Theater Syracuse, Waterhole Saranac Lake NY, The Made in New York Music Festival, Chevy Music Festival, New York State Fair and numerus Arts concerts and festivals.
