Mr. Politician, the latest effort from Jah Destiny, is a powerful invective against the titular class of individual. While the song contains catch reggae guitars and charismatic vocals for days, it is this instruction to keep a more critical eye to those in power which resonates loudest with me. The video (below) puts Jah Destiny front and center, connecting well with viewers and making them more receptive to the message that he’s laying down here. Mr. Politician is a song that is evergreen; as long as there are politicians trying to insert themselves into public office, there will be a need for these sorts of songs.
