Turning of the Tide, the latest effort from Nuke The Soup, is their strongest song yet. The bit of alt-rock meets reggae that bubbles up allows nods to They Might Be Giants and Fishbone to be made, while the instrumentation heard here is some of the sickest we’ve experience so far in 2025. The band knows how to make an engrossing track. All of Turning of the Tide’s segments combine to make for something greater than the sum of its constituent parts. Adding different sounds to the traditional drum/guitars dynamic turns Turning of the Tide into something that will be as fresh in 2045 as it is today. Give it a play and let us know what you think.
We have previously covered Nuke The Soup’s Big Wave Dave, Dancin’ On The Edge, Biggest Storm, Feed the Fire, Bugs, Deeper.and Oceans and Mountains.
