Bobby Bare Jr. announces the “Carpool America” tour with Blue Giant. Blue Giant will open the shows and serve as his back up band along with Bare’s drummer Matt Martin. The 22-city tour will kick start in Memphis, TN on August 24th and end in Minneapolis on October 9th.
Bare will release A Storm-A Tree-My Mother’s Head on August 31, 2010. It will be Bare’s sixth album and his first in nearly four years. A Storm-A Tree-My Mother’s Head was co-produced by Bare and David Vandervelde (Jay Bennett). Bare also produced Twistable, Turnable Man: A Tribute to the Songs of Shel Silverstein a tribute album in memory of his close friend and mentor, Shel Silverstein.
