Ah summer… a time for night swimming, belly flopping, sunstroke, beer bongs, tight thongs, burnt weenies and big ol’ package tours designed to make music fans squeal like pigs at the county fair.
Speaking of big packages, the dudes in Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger are teaming up for the co-headline Summer of Ska tour with support from Big D and the Kids Table, Suburban Legends (The Maxies will join the tour with RBF after Goldfinger drops off July 2nd.) Dates begin June 17 in Toronto and wind down with July 28th with a hometown show at OC’s The Grove of Anaheim.
The band will then launch a European Tour on August 2nd which includes several festival dates. Yeah, these guys get around internationally and stuff…
Reel Big Fish are in the process of recording their 8th full-length, titled, “Candy Coated Fury”, featuring all new, original tunes and some fresh new covers. The plan is to have it out in time for the tour this summer, so stay tuned ‘Fish fanatics.
In other ‘Fish news, the band has partnered with the good folks at ASG (Artist Series Guitar) on a new RBF series guitar designed by RBF front man Aaron Barrett himself! See him playing it on the upcoming Summer of Ska tour! Aaron B says, “The new RBF ASG guitar sounds awesome for clean ska guitar and shredding metal riffs!” The guitar is now available for purchase here: http://www.artistseriesguitar.com/FeaturedArtist/Reel-Big-Fish/flypage.tpl.html.
