Deleted Scenes’ frontman Dan Scheuerman explains how the band became Kilduff’s art subjects in the new video. “I’ve been a big fan of John Kilduff, the ‘Let’s Paint’ guy, ever since his ‘Let’s Paint, Exercise and Blend Drinks’ went viral. But he’s more than just a YouTube flash in the pan. He’s a self-styled creativity guru, as well as a performance art commentary on DIY, post-modernity, ADHD, Positive Mental Attitude, and depression. This side of his persona was what drew us to him, and lined up pretty perfectly with the themes in ‘The Days of Adderall.’ We contacted him through Facebook and asked if he would perform in a video, painting us while running on a treadmill and blending drinks. He said yes, so we stopped by his place in LA in February on tour. Using lemons from his own backyard, he made an especially tart lemonade.”
