Ember Atom is able to create a catchy rock track in their latest single, What You Came For. The call and response of the guitars and vocals push each element to a higher plateau, while the on-point drums do much to keep order in the single. Hints of synths are weaved through the track, where they bounce back and forth with the guitars for maximum impact. The sizzling guitar solo is matched perfectly by the focused drumming; Ember Atom is able to make one of the most taut tracks we’ve heard this autumn. Looking back to the days of The Cars as well as more contemporary (The Killers, Hot Hot Heat) acts, Ember Atom does something in this cut that will get everyone up and on the dance floor.
