On The Highway, Nate Currin is able to tell an engrossing story with compassion and an honest set of vocals. The song effortlessly breezes through modern country, Melloncamp/Dylan-esque Americana and even alternative rock. It is this eclectic collection of styles that makes The Highway into something that will stick listeners long after it ceases to play. Our favorite aspect of Currin’s latest work is how much melody that Nate’s vocals contribute to the single. The song is timeless, containing enough meat on its bones to remain fresh well after a few plays.
