Before using the Bodyminder, I pretty much just jotted down my workout on a piece of paper and hoped that it did not get lost. The Bodyminder is the perfect addition to the workout, as it ensures that exercise-minded individuals will be able to continually build their workouts up. Each part of the book has a tremendous amount of information to jot down, whether it be whether the individual stretched,…
The good folks over at Southern Hospitality have been holding down quality rappers from down South and out in the Bay Area for some time, so it’s only fitting that their latest orchestration features none other than critically acclaimed rap heavyweights DaVinci, repping San Francisco, alongside ST 2 Lettaz, one half of Huntsville, Alabama duo G-Side. Topping things off, Montreal’s producer/DJ Lunice provides the beat, only his second time working…

The ever flavorful, genre-swapping artist/producer/singer/songwriter Kokayi might still be riding high on the wave of success brought on by his new album, Robots & Dinosaurs, but he’s focused on keeping the fire hot, this time around dropping a brand new non-album single. The new song, “DJ Play,” is part of Illvibe’s highly anticipated album, All Together Now, a comprehensive project over two years in the making that also features Bahamadia,…

Daniel Mckenzie and Jon Fee of the bass-driven and melodic indie pop/noise rock outfit The Rum Diary, veteran studio/touring drummer Jake Krohn, and Remco Vanderheide (a Dutch transplant with bluegrass roots and a penchant for blowing amps) is Shuteye Unison. The Beets, of Jackson Heights, Queens, sound like the emotional singalongs you and your friends had in college, if you and your friends had been musical geniuses reinventing 1960s garage rock with poppy no-fi tracks. Their songs are short and catchy and packed with emotive, poetic lyrics, more inspired by the Beatles and the Ramones than the current indie scene. Their shows are more like parties, complete with strings of…
