Keali`i is more than a singer or performer, he is a cultural icon and ambassador for the Aloha State. In the words of Donne Dawson (Hawai`i State Film Commissioner) “For those beyond our shores, Keali’i provides an amazing window for the world to see why Hawai’i is a place like no other.” One of Hawai`i’s best known singers and kumu hula instructors, Keali`i and his Halau Ke`alaokamaile perform a musical…

First off, no. The title is such a misnomer that it’s not funny. The writers of this magazine do not practice what they preach. And lordy, do they ever preach up a storm with this magazine. First off, this seems like your average zine, with an intro piece and a piece about going vegetarian, but bam bam bam, you have pieces about going up to people to convert them to…

This was a zine that was traded for issues of my zine, and now I feel bad, as if my zine is not one, much less a page of this amazing zine. Think of Ideosyncratic Girl, the comic that the audience sees but does not get to read in Mallrats. The inner content of the comic, I imagine, would read a lot like this comic. And, I can honestly say…

This is the most depressed I’ve ever been. I can barely move, I’ve been so affected by this. I haven’t written anything candidly for a while. Sure, Danica and I are doing fine, but the rest of my world is falling apart. I failed my last shot at being in the Ph.D. program at Kent State. I’m appealing, but I doubt I’ll get this overturned. Most people know that my…
