Metal Blade Records is pleased to announce the addition of Boston Massachusetts metalers RAVAGE to its roster. The heavy metal band RAVAGE began as the idea of two young brothers from Boston Massachusetts, whom fans would come to know as Al Ravage and Eli Joe, who wished to form a band that could bring bombastic heavy metal back to prominence and crush the insipid alterna-grunge music craze of the mid-90’s.…

The self-titled album will thrill fans with an up-close and personal journey through Miller’s dark heart and complicated mind – all set to the kind of rollicking tunes for which he’s known. The album is the darkest of Miller’s deep…
“Shuffle Your Feet†is a blues-influenced track that seems more in common with a Stevie Ray Vaughn than with the current focus on the retro-rock of The White Stripes or . The slightly-slower sound of the title track is thus facilitated by the Corrosion of Conformity-esque opening to the disc, and will allow individuals to see the slightly Brit-rock sound of the second track. The heavy synth lines during “Howl

“Casper & the Cookies is the latest, and they’re playing big, bright, and bouncy psychedelic power pop on their second album The Optimist’s Club. The exuberence is contagious, especially live…” – HARP (The Optimist’s Club (2006)) anfnewsacctwww.neufutur.com
The album’s cover looks like it comes right out of the sixties, which makes sense since the band plays the closest thing to 60s rock that has came out in the last decade or so. The tracks are Shaharazad-story long, as the first two (Druganaut and Buffalo Swan) tracks almost break twenty minutes in runtime on their own. The extension of simple arrangements, such as a three or four note…
I’m a hard working business man that aspire to be something in life. Luck doesn’t usually come my way often, so I pray and work hard to accomplish my goals. I’m really a cool, laid back, fun person to be around if you get to know me. If you don’t like me, it’s probably because you don’t know me. I’m outgoing and like to have fun, but I put my…
Obsolete: this is the title that designer and electronic artist Robert Krums has chosen for his latest project under the alias Grauwelt. He chose this title because after completing the album, he realized that the genre it belonged to no longer existed. Krums, who also records hip-hop under the name Earmint, came of age at a time when his native Chicago was churning out exciting industrial and electronic music at…

The band’s performance was recorded and is to be released as “Behind the Iron…
Blackmaker plays a branch of pop-rock that has parallels in bands like Switchfoot and Nickelback, and while many practitioners of this system are nothing more than apers of the style (Damage and Ditchwater are two of the bands that illustrate that example fairly well), Blackmaker plays the style in terms that are their own. Both “Spiraling” and “Let It Go” start off the disc with a tremendous amount of momentum,…

One of the most even discs of this new year, The Black Maria’s “Lead Us To Reason†is the latest in Victory emo bands revolutionizing the genre. Everything has the gentle sound of the late nineties alternative scene, but the Fear Factory meets Shadows Fall sound of more current days. The overarching synthesizer present in a track like “Organs†works perfectly in playing off of and accentuating the emotive and…
Let’s get right to it: Felicia Finley rocks. The press release states “Felicia Finley is a Broadway actor who wanted to make a record.†The words immediately evoked images of a banal and forgettable side project like the others Broadway actors have been issuing for years. This is not that record… And that’s good! Instead of the whimsical self-indulgence of an actor, “Great Mood for a Tuesday†is an exciting,…

With song lengths that would make the quickest punk or noise bands blush, Blacklisted create a style of hardcore that has not been seen for quite a few years. Coming out of a more metal tradition than the nerd-core (technical hardcore) pablum that has been filling the street, this is furious music that does not give listeners time before going off into another direction. The arrangements are obvious, and it…
