For a debut E.P. Long Knives already know exactly what they are which is a female fronted band wanting to ride comfortably between the lines of punk rock and a radio friendly mainstay. That’s a sincerely difficult task to complete because I originally was not convinced that this album was going to be worth the listen but they have those reliable hooks which appeal to everyone.
Listening to this album was like a nostalgic syringe being shot right into my lower left frontal lobe and I slumped over into a beautiful Columbus lost great shadow. Started the night off at a local hot dog palace for a few wieners and $1 drafts of PBR before walking the swift 2 blocks to the historic Southern Theatre which is awe inspiring as soon as you make it into the interior. It was damn well maintained history and worth the price of admission alone.
