Classical/World Fusion Piece “The Silent Steppe Cantata” Debuts 12/10 in Kazakhstan

The international collaboration The Silent Steppe Cantata premieres on December 10th, 2011 in Astana, Kazakhstan. This Classical/World Music fusion is a theatrical piece written by American composer Anne LeBaron, workshopped in the Los Angeles area and features up-and-coming tenor Timur Bekbosunov (“America’s Got Talent” and Timur & The Dime Museum) on lead vocals. It will be performed in Kazakh, Russian and English, utilizing Kazakh folk traditions, contemporary hip hop and other forms.
