Madison Farmer (guitar) and Fiona Campbell (drums), from Arkansas and New Zealand respectively, first met bartending at DIY shows in Brooklyn during the sweltering heat of summer 2009 and decided to start a band after discovering a shared love of punk, surf, and riot grrrl records.
After an initial jam in the Market Hotel living room, the band recorded a few demos in Madison’s basement and, over the course of a year, gained acclaim playing out around Brooklyn and along the east coast.
Each member splits their time in other projects: Madison in Dream Diary and Fiona in Vivian Girls, as well as together in their party band Cybelle Blood.
Now with two 7″ records under their belts, they are still finding the time to release a split 7″ with Reading Rainbow, record and release a full-length early next year, and bring their uniquely melodic surf-punk to the west coast for the first time!
