ABOUT THE JORDIN SPARKS EXPERIENCE
The Jordin Sparks Experience (JSE) was born in 2008 soon after Sparks won American Idol in her hometown of Glendale, Arizona and it has created a “footprint” of kindness in each Super Bowl host city since then. JSE continues to shine as one of the only events prior to the Super Bowl that participates in specialized community service projects. The “Experience” is comprised of two events, the Sparkstown Teddy Bear Picnic and The Red, White and Black Affair. Last year’s event in Miami, FL sold-out with over 1,000 guests in attendance, was featured in more than 1,400 media publications, and brought out many celebrities, professional athletes, corporations and more. This year confirmed sponsors include The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Allstate.
Confirmed celebrities include: Jordin Sparks, Jo Jo, Honor Society, Michael Johns, DJ Babey Drew, Melissa Peterman, Ashlyne Huff, Marcus Mitchell, Marshall “Soulful” Jones, Tori Kelly, Avery, Micah & Me and professional athletes include: Adrian Peterson, Larry Fitzgerald, Kerry Rhodes, Johnny Knox, Roy Williams, Darren Woodson, Phillippi Sparks Sr. and many more.
The Jordin Sparks Experience is hosted by The M.A.D. Girls, Inc. The events serve as a fundraising platform for the I’m M.A.D. Are You? (“Making a Difference”) campaign launched by Jordin and her brother P.J. Sparks. The Mission of the I’m M.A.D. Are You? Campaign is to encourage people of all ages to make a positive impact within their families, communities and the world through volunteerism and community service. Since its inception the organization has succeeded in “Making A Difference” domestically and abroad. Recent contributions include supplying antibiotics and shoes to children in Haiti, deliver teddy bears to over 350 kids at the Miami Children’s Hospital and SOS Children’s Villages, and provide clean drinking water to a village in Peru. Also, in partnership with The Starkey Hearing Foundation, school children and adults of the Miami, Florida area received the gift of hearing using more than 276 digital hearing instruments. In addition, the Jordin Sparks Experience promoted safe driving through Allstate’s X the Text campaign, for which Jordin was the spokesperson.
