Boston-based rock quartet Mean Creek is excited to announce the release of its new EP titled Hemophiliac. Recently recorded in Brooklyn, NY, and produced in conjunction with legendary producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., The Hold Steady, etc.), Hemophiliac is now available for FREE download via the band’s Bandcamp page HERE.

Released on the heels of the band’s critically-acclaimed 7″ titled The Comedian, Hemophiliac is yet another solid addition to the band’s burgeoning catalog of raw and epic rock. Recently named “Best Boston Act” by the readers of The Boston Phoenix and receiving nominations at this year’s Boston Music Awards for “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year” for their track “The Comedian,” Mean Creek entered the studio earlier this month with Agnello once again to capture their distinct live sound and energy onto recording. The result of this recent session is the expansive four-song Hemophiliac EP, a confident rock statement that easily stands as the band’s most determined work to date due the anthemic and highly-emotional cuts contained within.

“Mean Creek flood small rooms with a sound large enough to drown stadiums: monumental, rolling guitars, a driving, subterranean rhythm section, and a visceral impact like a shot to the gut.” – THE BOSTON PHOENIX

[The Comedian] “The feedback-drenched breaks and monolithic chorus are sure to have fans of My Morning Jacket doing somersaults.” – MY OLD KENTUCKY BLOG

“Mean Creek is not merely a great Boston Band; they’re a really great band period. Everyone outside the 617 should be warned Boston has birthed its next prodigious band. Be prepared.” – PASTE
