With the arrival of Death of a Pop Star, David Banner and 9th Wonder are set to unveil a second tier of visual content inspired by the music: an anime-style comic strip. The story centers around two men, Banner and 9th Wonder, living in the real world with extra ordinary powers. David Banner’s character struggles with being from an impoverished neighborhood and coming to terms with a higher calling. Conversely, 9th Wonder struggles with the inner conflict of being a master of discipline and the reality of violence being necessary.

“The idea with Death of a Pop Star was never for it to be only an album,” said Banner. “The aim of this project was to engage the consumer on many different levels. With the music industry being in the state it’s in, we as artist need to provide as much intriguing content as possible for our fans. This is the second step in exposing the Death of a Pop Star project on many different platforms.” 9th Wonder added, “Comics, sneakers, and Hip-Hop have always been close-knit with each other for years and years. This comic strip will show you exactly how CLOSE the relationships between those entities are. Death of a Pop Star!”

The first and second installations of the comic can be viewed now on http://www.deathofapopstar.com/.

The album’s second single, “Be With You” featuring Ludacris, was serviced to radio two weeks ago and was the most added song at urban radio upon its delivery.
