New shows have been announced for the “A Night With Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson” tour through Mid-August. Featuring Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz, the show will preview new material from Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson’s forthcoming solo albums, Aesop Rock and Kimya’s forthcoming collaboration album, rare tracks from Aesop Rock’s previous solo albums, as well as Aesop Rock’s new group Hail Mary Mallon featuring Rob and Wiz.
Hail Mary Mallon’s light-hearted homage to old school rap becomes especially radiant with their new single, Breakdance Beach directed by Alex Tarrant and Justin Metros from their debut album Are You Gonna Eat That? (via Rhymesayers). The video, being as playful as the song would suggest, includes break-dancers kicking through the sand, atop beach rocks and speedboats, and underwater.
