Australia has produced some of the most iconic rock groups, from INXS to AC/DC, and now to add to that ensemble of acronyms, IAMSOUND Records is pleased to announce the signing of BKC aka Bleeding Knees Club. Mixing the garage vibes of The White Stripes, The Black Lips and The Hives with summery beach sounds from the land down under, youngsters Jordan Malane and Alex Wall are a virtual twist-cone of precocious teenage punk and sweet surf pop that fans from all walks of life can appreciate. With songs such as ‘Have Fun’ and ‘Bad Guys’ making their way around Australian radio and the internet, Bleeding Knees Club caught the early attention of UK tastemaker mag NME, who recently named them ’50 Best New Bands of 2011′ and quoted Dev Hynes of Blood Orange saying “their songs are amazing, its like classic song writing”. On October 18th, Bleeding Knees Club will set out to take over the other hemisphere with the debut of their ‘Virginity’ EP on LA’s illustrious IAMSOUND label as well as their first appearance at New York’s CMJ Festival and select Los Angeles dates.
