L.A. hip-hop enigma Blu is showcasing his beats on his new album Open, but he’s still a rapper at heart, and he couldn’t help but get on some of the tracks himself. Open hit stores earlier this week, and to celebrate we’re letting loose one of tracks from the project featuring both beats and rhymes from Blu, “Steel Remains (Raw)”. A hardcore lyrical assault complete with M.O.P. samples, “Steel Remains (Raw)” finds the usually mellow Blu channeling his inner battle rhymer.
Entirely produced by Blu, Open contains never-before-heard vocal tracks from a collection of up-and-coming rappers that our man hand-picked for the project, including Sene, Fresh Daily, Scienze, Versis, Aaron Smartz, Tribe of Levi, Blu himself, and more.
