Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Space Adventure is a feature-length film that brings Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck up into the final frontier – space and the moon. The antagonist in the film – Space Pirate Pete – provides conflict for the characters in a safe way, showing what one is capable of if they let their greediness go unchecked. I would say that this feature would do well for children ranging in age from about 2 to 8, although slightly older kids will be able to appreciate what is represented here.

To increase the value of what purchasers would receive, Disney has provided a number of additional features. There is a digital copy of the feature, along with a never before seen version of the “Goofy’s Thinking Cap” episode. For those individuals that have a Mickey Mote, Disney has placed their Discovery Mode onto the disk.

This is the perfect sort of gift for a child’s birthday or as a little additional piece of their holiday haul. The glow in the dark stickers may just be what goes over the best, as they represent something that children can actually play with beyond having to sit down for the flick. Here’s to hoping that Disney will be able to continue releasing feature-length films of this caliber, as Space Adventure is comparable to any of the movies that they bring to a wider audience.
