The White Buffalo releases his latest EP THE LOST & FOUND today on Unison Music Group. Already a fixture on the west coast’s live music scene, the buzz on The White Buffalo has spread nationally thanks to the intensity of the band’s shows and national TV placements on hit programs such as FX’s Sons of Anarchy and HBO’s Californication who have championed his music. The White Buffalo’s music will be featured on tonight’s season finale of Sons of Anarchy, and is available for purchase on iTunes. AOL Spinner’s Listening Party is also featuring a stream of the EP.

The White Buffalo’s EP sets the stage for his upcoming full length ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST which will be released in February 2012. With influences of story-tellers like Bob Dylan, Waylon Jennings, Elliot Smith, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Bad Religion, the White Buffalo’s (aka Jake Smith) epic voice and thoughtful storytelling has been earning him critical attention. USA Today said “… I had to stop and listen. What a memorable voice….” and ArtistDirect.com boasted “The White Buffalo possesses a mystique that’s been absent from modern popular music for so long. That’s the real brilliance of what he does. Soulful and strong from start to finish, ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST is one of the best albums of 2011.”

The Portland Mercury also said “On his forthcoming LP Once Upon a Time in the West [The White Buffalo] comes across as a weathered hero, a singer with a husky voice and a whiskey slur trying to right some wrongs along the way. He’ll drink you under the table, then break a chair over your back, and you’ll love every moment of it.”

The White Buffalo recently recorded a gorgeous, seaside acoustic session of “Darkside of Town” which you watch HERE. A visit to American Songwriter Magazine resulted in a fantastic acoustic session which is featured on the Best of American Songwriters Sessions sampler. See that live performance.

THE LOST & FOUND is available now on iTunes and Amazon.com
