The Bright Light Social Hour prepare to hit the road again for their first batch of 2012 tour dates along the East Coast. The band, which recently joined The Agency Group, will be touring throughout 2012 in support of their self-titled debut.
The Austin-based band swept the 2011 Austin Music Awards at SXSW with “Band of the Year”, “Album of the Year” and “Song of the Year”. Since then, they’ve taken their talents (and facial hair) on the road, evolving into an unabashedly wide-screen rock group, melding Southern rock with muscular funk, soul and psychedelia. With the help of Jack’s moustache (see above), the guys have created a brand around their name, rising as one of Austin’s most prominent rock bands. With local love and support, show reviews that read more like love letters, and an inclusion in Paste Magazine’s “Best of What’s Next” issue, The Bright Light Social Hour will take on the open road throughout 2012, aiming to reveal what the city of Austin already knows.
