Danish producer and DJ Kasper Bjørke has premiered a new video for “Lose Yourself to Jenny” with Interview Magazine. The track was released earlier this month alongside remixes by Rebolledo (Comeme), Axel Boman (Pampa), Maxxi Soundsystem (Hot Waves) and Till VonSein (Suol), available for streaming at SoundCloud. “Lose Yourself to Jenny” is taken from his third studio album, Fool, appropriately released on Fool’s Day, April 1st with hfn music (Trentemøller). The LP features collaborations with Jacob Bellens (Murder and I Got You On Tape), new Danish talent Emma Acs, and one of Kasper Bjørke’s favorite bands, Laid Back. Get a sneak peek of the album at SoundCloud. Directed by Florence Tetièr, the new video is the “first part of a trilogy of videos to accompany the planned three singles. The theme of the video trilogy is about different types of girls that you can fall in love with,” says Bjørke. “The first one being “Jenny” who is generally bad news.” Like vinyl, Fool is split in two sides with a playful mixture of abundant, pop-infused bittersweet love songs on the ‘Hunger‘ side, and more spaced-out psychedelic disco voyages on the ‘Foolish‘ side. Recently abandoning his A&R chair at indie label Fake Diamond, where he discovered and developed acts like Oh Land, Bjørke now mainly focuses on studio work. As a remixer, he has pretty much covered the whole spectrum, reworking tracks from Moby and Oh Land, to hfn & In My Room label mates Trentemøller and Darkness Falls. |
