Pharo Releases Debut EP ft. Omega and Psymbionic on Gravitas Recordings

Hailing from the “live music capital of the world”, Austin TX, audio/visual composer Pharo delivers his debut “Native Range” EP on Gravitas Recordings. Aside from producing and DJing bass music, Pharo is also well known as an adept live painter and visionary artist, using diverse mediums ranging from canvas to custom hats and clothing.

Washing in with waves of texture, Native Range starts things off proper with the hard hitting title track.Pacman Grind drops in next with a robust combination of funky leads and tangible grit, persuading the listener to head-bounce in approval. The EP then changes direction with Dub Deals, making way for more shuffling drum patterns laid across thick sub bass, followed closely by Kerplunk’s swampy beats and wildly modulating synth tracks. Psymbionic brings a hip hop flavored remix to Native Range, trading in some of the original’s fervor for layered brass and big chords. The record closes out with a hot and heavy take on Pacman Grind from Omega, who manages to perfectly balance threatening basslines with tasteful interludes.
