This past weekend, U.S. Progressive Metal pioneers FATES WARNING wrapped up their first North American headlining tour in support of Darkness In A Different Light, their first new studio album effort in almost a decade and InsideOutMusic debut.
Now, FATES WARNING and Guitar World have teamed up to bring you the brand new music video for the track ‘Firefly’, cut from their new album Darkness In A Different Light. FATES WARNING vocalist Ray Alder has checked in to comment about the song ‘Firefly’: “I’ve always liked the romantic concept of the firefly. A tiny flashing creature searching for another on a warm summer night. Like stars that move…”

Darkness In A Different Light hit stores on October 1st via InsideOutMusic, and landed on the Billboard charts at #50 on the Current Rock Chart, at #14 on the Current Hard Music Chart, at #142 on the Top Current Albums Chart, at #162 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart and at #5 on the Top New Artist Albums Chart within the first week. Darkness In A Different Light was produced by FATES WARNING guitarist and main composer Jim Matheos and mixed by long time FATES WARNING engineer Phil Magnotti, while mastering duties were handled by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering, California. The artwork was designed by Conte di San Pietro.
