Fantasy is a high tempo track that works well in pop and R&B formats. A lively drum line, strong Jason Derulo meets Chris Brown vocal style, and a secondary female vocal that provides additional differentiation and complexity to the effort. The shuffling beat provided with this track stands as a bold, unique approach. The production is at a high enough quality that the effort could easily be played on radio rotation, while AxelJordan’s vocals are distinct enough that listeners can easily associate subsequent singles with him going forward.

Shine is the second new single from AxelJordan, and provides listeners with a wholly different sound than was broached during Fantasy. There is a dirty and sultry sound that will have listeners on the dance floor, with just a hint of the more emotive and intense vocals that have been a hallmark of previous AxelJordan singles. I feel that the track has greater crossover appeal than Fantasy, as AxelJordan’s vocal abilities are put to the test. The sheer range that he has in his singing showcases that there is substantial talent coming with each following line, while furthering the overall harmony and tenor of the track. The instrumental and vocal elements combine to create one of the most compelling and catchy tracks that we have covered this year; fans should keep their ear firmly to the great about AxelJordan.
