Rick Elliot West of the Rockies Single Review / 2015 / https://www.facebook.com/RickElliotMusic / http://rickelliotmusic.com/
West of the Rockies is a track that showcases all of the sterling and shining pieces of 1970s and 1980s country, but has enough in common with current country music to have fans of all ages appreciate what is laid down. There is a strong narrative quality to West of the Rockies that will have listeners hanging onto every word, while the backing arrangements are done with considerable care. Taken together, the resulting track is something that ties together Kenny Rogers, Hank Williams Jr., and Blake Shelton into something fun and heartfelt.
