The New York Best Wings Festival will be held at the NYCB Theater (960 Brush Hollow Rd, Westbury, NY 11590, 516-247-5200). The festival will pit some of the best-known wing shops from the area to determine who will end up on the top of the heap. The Wander Inn (Baldwin, NY), Wing Zone (Bellmore), Central Station NYC (Brooklyn), Parlay (Rockville Centre) Croxley’s and other restaurants will all attempt to have the best wings of the show.
Of course, there will be more things at the festival than just wings – the festival will have craft beers, prizes, carnival games, and eating contests to ensure that individuals can spend the better part of the day at the festivities. The different branches of the wing eating championships – teen, college, and the “melt your face” eating contests – will give a wide portion of the attendees a chance to show their wing-eating mettle.
Tickets for the New York Best Wings Festival are $10 for General Admission (additional costs will be incurred if one wants to buy wings, sauces, or beer), $50 for the “Fantastwing” Ticket (which comes with 20 food tickets, a bottle of sauce from High River Sauces (http://highriversauces.com/), and a free pilsner cup. The VIP ticket clocks in at $95 and allows purchasers to go into the VIP area, get drinks from the open bar, receive a variety of food samples and an additional swag bag from the companies that will be at the New York Best Wings Festival.
