American Eyes is a powerful rock track that takes up hints of The Anniversary and Rise Against. Rich, intense guitars provide the stage for impassioned vocals that build off of the framework laid down by Treble Charger and Say Anything. The instrumental-heavy middle of American Eyes keeps things lively as the band moves into the concluding minute. Punchy, poppy, and with a sharp edge, American Eyes succeeds because In The Whale are confident and are ultimately able to create a distinctive, unique sort of sound in three minutes. We’ll be playing this at NeuFutur HQ this autumn.
