Amir Higher creates an inspirational EDM/dance track (featuring EVS) that immediately cranks it into high gear from the single’s onset. A particularly robust backing beat and nice pause before the vocals kick back in add a further boost to I Am Ready’s energy. Of particular note during I Am Ready has to be the hooky piano line and on-point percussive elements. While there are nods to 1980s and 1990s dance present here, there is a current and contemporary sound to this effort that will garner airplay. Fans of Avicii, Porter Robinson, and Tritonal will dig I Am Ready.
