SOiL’s Gimme Some Lovin’ is a fun rock track that mixes up current hard rock with the sludgy bar rock of Thin Lizzy and early AC/DC. A strong, assertive set of vocals is matched with an equally-pointed female set of vocals. The back and forth dynamic pushes the guitar/drum sound to an entirely higher plateau. A chugging guitar line and splashy drums ride the track to its conclusion. SoiL is able to make fresh a well-trodden style, all while imbuing the single with their own unique take on things. The band’s cover of Gimme Some Lovin’ will be played throughout the rest of autumn here at NeuFutur HQ.
