The Czech Republic is known for its beauty especially because of its architecture. There are very few people who aren’t actually aware of the beauty of Prague which is its capital city. The city is situated on the Vltava river and has a population of about 2.6 million. The city has a lot of history coming right from its monarchical times. Right now, it holds many architectural heritages that are visited by tourists on a daily basis. But we wanted to highlight a different side of Prague which people often miss. Museum of Medieval Torture:

The medieval ages were an obscure time when people turned gruesome at times. One of the most interesting things that they had were the torture devices and laws which were deadly. Visit a Nuclear Bunker:

When in Prague, you can visit the Nuclear Bunker exposition. The place mainly deals with the gear and different types of equipment that were used in World War II. There are 3 parts of the bunker that you can visit. It brings out the reality of war and the way they took the preparations. Make sure to check the proper directions when you visit the place.

Vysehrad:

As we said above the architecture of Prague matters a lot to its tourist because of the heritage. Vysehrad is a fort that is present in the city and is situated in the right bank of the Vltava river. Along with the fort you should also see the cemetery which has the graves of many eminent people. There are several different statues in the area which mark the beautiful architecture present at that time. Even the locals suggest this place as it isn’t as crowded as the Prague castle. Do check the operating timings of this place before you visit it.

If you are in Prague and want to see some quirky and provocative art, then you should definitely check out the sculptures of David Cerny. You can take a walk to see the amazing creations which are quite different from the ones you generally see. You will find them at several different locations around the city.
