Richochet is a laid-back, electrofunk meets indie sort of track that soars on glorious synths and falsetto vocals. A bit of thicker, bassier synth lines add to the low end. The track builds off of the framework initially laid by acts like Passion Pit and MGMT, while ensuring that Nick Vivid’s vocals have ample room to shine. The insistence of the backing beat continues to grow over time, rising and falling in a way to keep fans focused in to the track until its final note. Ricochet is an effort that can shine equally well on the EDM, college, and alternative tracks; we’d love to see how Nick Vivid’s output varies over the years.
